Working method & fees
Initial contact
After a first meeting, contact by email, telephone or visio-conference aimed at identifying the legal issues involved, I would ask for documents / information needed for studying the file, assess the situation and establish a strategy.
Fees
The financial and practical terms of my intervention are agreed from the start of the file in total transparency with the client. I charge either on an hourly rate or cap fees basis depending on each case and of the work at stake. It might also be possible to agree on innovative fees scheme. I always take into account the complexity of the case, the emergency and the specific situation of the client.
Follow-up
A strategy is proposed to the client after having received and reviewed the supporting documents requested. Clients are always informed and involved in the follow-up of the file, their approval is systematically chased on any letter or document sent in their name and/or on their behalf.
Deadlines
I meet the requirements of availability and responsiveness to process requests within the agreed deadlines, especially the shortest when the circumstances so require (drafting letters, writ of summon, pleadings, application, legal opinions, legal research, review of contracts).
